Pelham Hall is home to the village Cricket and Tennis Clubs, whose grounds provide a pleasant backdrop.

Entrance: A porch protects the Hall’s entrance and it’s spacious foyer is big enough to welcome guests, with a staircase and lift to the upper floor. Double doors lead from the foyer directly into the main hall.

The main hall has a “sprung” beech floor and is large enough for meetings with an audience of up to 120. It can host comprehensive exhibitions, dances, theatrical performances, social events or sporting activities such as football, exercise classes, short mat bowls, table tennis, dance or gymnastics. Equipped with LED lighting and radiant heating, the main hall has good acoustics and there is a modular stage available. 120 banqueting chairs are available for use along with dining tables in various configurations.

Kitchen: Pelham Hall has a well-equipped kitchen with electric serving hatch adjoining the main hall. The kitchen was extended and upgraded in 2017 and contains a commercial dishwasher, electric oven and hob, prep fridge, instant hot water heater and dumb waiter, along with a domestic fridge/freezer, microwaves, two kettles, slow cookers, rice cookers, cooking pots and utensils.

Toilets etc: Also on the ground floor are male/female/disabled toilets and male and female changing rooms equipped with showers.

The upper floor can be easily reached from the foyer either by the stairs or the lift . Alternatively, there’s a sloping path around the right side of the building to doors off the first floor balcony overlooking the cricket ground.

Lounge bar: The first floor has a good-sized lounge bar area suitable for dinners, meetings, films or lectures, that can seat up to 80 in comfort, with views through big windows looking over the cricket ground and surrounding countryside. The floor is mainly carpeted and there’s also 5m x5m wooden dance floor. The lounge bar has easy chairs and occasional tables, air con/heating, new LED dimmable lighting, an electric projection screen and HD projector. There’s also terrestrial TV available via Freesat. A well equipped and fully-licensed bar (includes a glass washer) forms one end of the lounge.

Meeting room: There is a smaller committee meeting room which will hold a seated audience of up to 40 in comfort. A second screen and projector is available. The dumb waiter is in the corner of this room so has direct access to the ground floor kitchen.

Second kitchen: Also on this floor is a small kitchen where food can be prepared and served for those attending events in the lounge. It contains a commercial dishwasher, a counter top fridge, microwave, kettles, portable commercial hot water boiler and portable single induction hob.

Other facilities: Between the kitchen and lounge bar is a unisex toilet and a cupboard with a vacuum cleaner and cleaning materials.

Parking: Finally, car parking spaces are available at the front of the building including two for disabled people. A free electric vehicle charging point is at the front of the hall.

This completes the range of facilities that are available to meet the requirements of almost any type and size of event. The Tennis Club room is not available for hire.

Pelham Hall makes a practical and great venue for the widest range of functions, whether social, business or sporting in a beautiful rural setting. You’re welcome to have a look around by appointment.
