Yoga

with Terry Cornish

Terry Cornish's regular Yoga sessions are held weekly in the bar area of Pelham Hall - these restart on Friday 14th January

  • Friday morning 9.15 to 10.15 am

Just wear loose clothing and bring yourselves along. Most people bring their own yoga mats too but a mat can be provided if necessary. No chanting or meditating - the focus is on flexibility, strength and posture, something all can improve on.

The “drop in” fee for Fridays is £7.50

Terry also runs a Shed YOGApose class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on Monday 9th January, subject to availability

  • Monday 9 to 10 am and 5 to 6pm

  • Tuesday 5.30 to 6.30 pm

  • Thursday 9 to 10 am

The classes takes place in Terry's shed in Tregagle and are limited to 5 people only. She will continue to run a 6 week pre-paid term @ £45.00 per term but, unfortunately, no “drop in” spaces in the Shed will be possible.

Short Mat Bowls

Pelham Hall Bowls Club

resource-7.aspx.jpeg

We are a small local village Short Mat Bowls Club. We play every Tuesday evening between 7.30 and 9.30 pm, stopping at 8.30 for tea, coffee, biscuits and a catch up with each other (bring your own mug during these Covid-19 times!)

The format we play is indoor short mat bowls, which is on a man-made mat of a specified length. We play socially and do not play in any league (we do however play very occasionally with another local club at Dingestow, which is a slightly larger club than us).

We are a club of both men and women of mixed ages and welcome new members, both young or older to join us. Don’t worry that you have never played before or have not got any woods to play with. Our current members will befriend you, show you how to play and provide you with woods to play with. You will be playing a game on your first visit with members supporting you and helping you feel involved and part of the club.

We only charge £3.00 for each session you come to, with no commitment to come every week. However we would like to see you as often as you are able.

We also run a social club for members going out for a meal together every 4 to 8 weeks to local restaurants. This is completely optional and you decide if it is something that you would like to participate in or not.

Contact Neville Pullen for more details (Tel: 712650).

Tennis

The club has an idyllic location high above the Wye Valley.

We have three new floodlit artificial grass courts, which are situated adjacent to Pelham Hall.

The club is open to all members of the family and combines competitive and club tennis with social events and coaching for all ages and levels of expertise.

For more details about membership, club nights or events please contact the Membership Secretary:

Cricket

Penallt & Redbrook is a traditional village cricket club with a beautiful ground next door Pelham Hall, high in the hills above Monmouth and the Wye Valley.

We play league fixtures each Saturday from the start of May until early September - along with the occasional Sunday and mid-week friendlies.

The club is always searching for fresh talent (!) and would love to hear from players of all ages, abilities and genders who might fancy joining our ranks.

For further information, or if you are a touring club who fancies a game, contact Guy Adams for details, or explore its website for fixtures, results, and further details.
