Our local Trellech United/Mitchell Troy Councillors, Richard John and Jayne McKenna, will be holding an open meeting at Pelham Hall on Monday August 1st, starting at 7.30 pm.

As already mentioned at Penallt Gateway — Penallt Village Website, there are now firm proposals to introduce 20mph and 30mph speed limits in Penallt during this financial year.

The aim is for Richard and Jayne to spend a few minutes explaining the current proposals and then to use the rest of the time to hear the views of residents. They want to know, firstly if they have the backing of local residents and secondly exactly where the new zone(s) should start and end

Richard John adds - “Given the demands for similar zones elsewhere in the county it is likely that once the changes are in place, any amendments would be difficult, so it’s important the council gets this right.”

The current proposals are shown below. The blue zone shows where the limit would be 20mph whilst the red zone represents a 30mph limit.
