Friday 22 May: Film Night - Song Sung Blue

Friday 22nd May: SONG SUNG BLUE [12A] 132 mins – Drama/Musical

Two down-on-their-luck musicians (Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson) form a joyous Neil Diamond tribute band, proving it's never too late to find love and follow your dreams. But what is apparently a fairly standard rags-to-riches story is ruptured by a tragic twist of fate. Based on a true story.

Why see it? For the music

“Here is a startlingly strange, undeniably entertaining true-life story from the heartland of American showbusiness; a lovable crowd pleaser whose feelgood flavour won’t prepare you for the way the plot repeatedly and savagely twists like an unsafe fairground ride.” - The Guardian

There will be an interval during the showing. Subtitles will be displayed too.

All films are shown upstairs in Pelham Hall (directions at page bottom) in the bar area. Doors open at 7.15 pm and films start at 7.30 pm prompt. There is a £7 per head entry fee, payable on the door (cash or card). The bar will be open too.
