Preparing for winter power cuts

As part of the Penallt Community Emergency Plan, National Grid will be at Pelham Hall on 6 October, alongside the Church Coffee Morning.

They’ll be offering practical advice on how to prepare your home for winter power cuts and helping eligible residents sign up to the Priority Services Register.

This fits directly with our Community Emergency Plan: helping households prepare in advance and making sure people who may need additional support during a prolonged power cut are known to the electricity network. Our household guidance specifically recommends the Priority Services Register for people who depend on electricity for health, mobility or communication needs.
