Friday 20th November: THE CHRISTOPHERS [15] 100 mins – Drama/Dark Comedy
Julian Sklar (McKellen) was once a star of London's 1960s and 70s pop art explosion, but he hasn't painted in decades and has been broke for years. His two estranged children (James Corden and Jessica Gunning), desperate for an inheritance, hire Lori (Coel), an art restorer and former forger, to pose as a prospective assistant in order to access eight unfinished canvases Julian has buried deep in storage. The plan is to complete them, then return them to storage, where they are to be "discovered" upon Julian's death.
Why see it? To watch McKellen in cantankerous mode.

All films are shown upstairs in Pelham Hall (directions at page bottom) in the bar area. Doors open at 7.15 pm and films start at 7.30 pm prompt. There is a £7 per head entry fee, payable on the door (cash or card). The bar will be open too.
