Public Meeting to discuss the creation of a Community Emergency Plan
The objective is to take suggestions on the content of the plan, including as examples:
- Community resources that are available:
- Sand Bags
- People with chainsaws
- Tractors available
- Camping stoves available, so that the hall batteries can be utilised for heating and lighting.
- People who would like to be checked on if a power cut extends past 4 hours
- People who would be willing to help and check on people above
- How things would be communicated if WhatsApp was offline and for those that aren't on the WhatsApp chat
- How the Pelham Hall could be used in a long term power outage
The probable focus will be around three types of emergency: Flooding, Storm Damage with roads blocked and long term Power Outage.
Simon Angell is leading the meeting and hopes to focus on a draft plan linked from the button above.
