Jill Bourchier reports
We had 120 visitors plus lots of children and the takings amounted to £531, including donations, all of which have gone straight to the National Garden Scheme. Last year the NGS donated £2.7 million - the major individual donations being presented to Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Hospice, UK Carers Trust Queen's Nursing Institute, Horatio's Garden, Parkinson's UK and the MS Society.
I'd like to sincerely thank everyone for their support and hope that they enjoyed their afternoon at Birch Tree Well.

NGS Gardens at Birch Tree Well, Upper Ferry Road.
Jill Bourchier will again be opening her garden this year as part of the NGS scheme, on Sunday July 9th. As well as the gardens to look around, a sumptuous tea will be served whilst Feliks and Katie add further atmosphere with violin and harp. There'll be plenty of activities for the children too, so do come along. Children are free but garden entry will be £3.50 in aid of the NGS charities of the year.
Entrance is from 2.00 pm until 6.00 pm.
