Social/Hall pub night & fish and chips report

The Thursday 6th September fish and chip social evening saw 35+ diners coming to the hall to have fish and chips. This regular "fixture" is repeated on the first Thursday of the month and coincides with the monthly WI meeting held in the Hall Committee Room.

The bar is open every Thursday from 7 pm as well.

Bob Wade did his normal bar shift taking over £160 - thanks Bob and thanks to everyone who contributed to what is a huge financial support for our village hall. We look forward to seeing more villagers, families and friends in future months at the events. Keep an eye out for the village emails - NB contact the webmaster if you are not on and wish to join the mailing list.

Approximately 15 WI members and their partners attended the talk on the King's DNA: Richard III from Car Park to Cathedral which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

There were 4 local table tennis players in the main hall too. Whether you are either a beginner or an experienced player, you are more than welcome to join in playing table tennis on Thursdays; a second table is also available.

If you're interested in becoming an occasional volunteer bar staff member please contact Andy Henstridge.

If you would be willing to contribute in any way to the hall management please contact the Chairman.
