PELHAM HALL is the Village Hall for Penallt. The original Hall dated back to 1923. The “new” Hall was opened in 1992. It’s a great asset to the village and its activities and clubs are well supported
However, after 24 years, costs are now beginning to rise. So, the Pelham Hall 100 Club has been set up to generate income for the upkeep and maintenance of the Hall over the longer term and to give members a chance to win cash prizes!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Pelham Hall 100 Club members pledge £5 each month or £60 annually (or you can have multiple subscriptions!). 50% of each donation will go to the Hall maintenance fund and 50% will be for prizes in the MONTHLY DRAWS as well as six-monthly BIG PRIZE DRAWS.
The next 100 club prize draw takes place at 7.30 pm on Thursday 19th September 2019.
WHAT COULD I WIN?
MONTHLY PRIZE DRAWS: will take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Social Evening in the Village Hall.
- FIRST PRIZE will be £1 multiplied by the number of subscribers that month. So, 50 subscribers means a £50 first prize - 100 subscribers means a £100 first prize!
- SECOND PRIZE will be 50p multiplied by the number of subscribers that month: 50 subscribers and the 2nd prize will be £25 or for 100 subscribers it will be £50!
- All members who have subscribed for that month will be eligible for the MONTHLY PRIZE DRAW.
BIG PRIZE DRAWS every 6 months: In June and December each year, there will be a BIG PRIZE DRAW with two BIG prizes! The size of the “pot” depends on the number of subscribers, e.g. If there are 50 members, the BIG PRIZES would be £200 and £100 and if 100 members, the BIG PRIZES would be £400 and £200!
All who have subscribed for the six months up to the time of the draw will be eligible for the BIG PRIZE DRAW.
WHEN DOES IT START?
The first draw took place on Thursday September 10th 2015.
From September 2015 there will be a monthly draw, usually on the second Thursday of each calendar month. All who are members from the 1st of these months will be eligible to be included in the monthly draws.
The draw takes place during the regular Thursday social evening in the bar area and, starting in December 2016, a supper is served also.
DO I HAVE TO BE PRESENT AT THE DRAW?
No. It would be great if club members were present, but it’s not necessary. Prize winners will be notified by email and the prize paid by cheque/BACS. The winners’ names will be on the Penallt website so you can always check there!
