"All Things Italian" Dinner in Pelham Hall - pictures and report!


Some 62 tickets were sold for the sell-out "All Things Italian" Dinner on Saturday, September 28th, 2019, the bar lounge was decorated in green, white and red and three days' of preparations paid off in a very big way indeed! This was Italian food, drink and cooking at its finest (see below for original invitation).

Following the great success of the recent Bastille Day Dinner, Vincent Castellano has prepared a menu for an Italian evening in September

Vincent is Sicilian by birth, trained as a chef in France and moved to the UK in the 80s working as a chef for many restaurants until he became a partner in the well-known Glassboat moored in Bristol.

(a selection of wines recommended by Vincent will be available to buy at the bar for your table)

Meat balls in tomato sauce,

Caponata bruschetta V

Mozzarella & plum tomatoes with Basil dressing V


Raviolo di Porcini

Large ravioli of Porcini mushrooms with Dolcelatte sauce and toasted pine-nuts V


Main course

Porchetta con Salsa Verde

Rolled and stuffed belly of pork with garlic and oregano

served with Salsa Verde, Mash and Cavallo Nero


Torta di cioccolata e nocciole V

Chocolate and hazelnut torte with Frangelico Cream.

Chick peas in rich tomato sauce

(to replace meat balls in sharing platter)

Baked aubergine filled with almond, tomato & parmesan in rich tomato sauce.
