Coffee morning success

Susie and Ritchie Bentley recently organised (August 13th 2014) a coffee morning and produce stall to raise funds for the baby changing unit for Pelham Hall. They asked people to come and support them, drink coffee and eat lots of cake on the day!

Some 30 or so attended and the morning was a great success; and Susie writes:-

"A Big Thank You to everyone who came to the Coffee Morning and produce stall at Pelham Hall last Wednesday. Thank you too, to the people who baked all the delicious cakes, the kind gardeners who donated the fruit and vegetables, the lavender heart maker, the coffee brewers and washer-uppers, and those who couldn't make it on the morning but sent donations anyway. We must also mention Phil Munday of Munday and Jones greengrocers, who donated the beautiful basket of fruit for the raffle and the other raffle prize donors.
We had a lovely morning, ate lots of cake, drank plenty of coffee and tea, and went away having met a few new friends and carrying bags of fresh local produce. There is even talk of having a regular coffee morning/afternoon and produce stall at the hall in the future.

We took donations of over £240 which (in addition to the £70 already raised) is enough to purchase the baby changing unit and leaves some left over to buy something else for the Hall/Social Club. Ideas so far include new table tennis bats or a baby high chair.

So, once again, thank you to everyone involved."
