16th May 2014
The minutes of the 2014 AGM are now available here. These will be taken forward to the 2015 AGM for approval.
Details of the AGM and its agenda are given below.
Pelham Hall is Penallt's village hall and it supports a rich calendar of activities such as Quiz Nights, Jazz Concerts, WI Talks, weekly Bowls, Yoga and Pilates sessions, plus two very successful sports clubs. There was also a strong sense from the recently conducted survey that these activities could be expanded further and some 92% of respondents believed that “the Hall should provide a wider range of activities in the future”.
The forming and basing of Art classes and a Local History Group at the Hall were well supported. An idea to host a weekly Games Night has already been taken forward and more details will appear on the website soon.
All these activities can only take place with volunteer support. With a number of vacancies on the main Committee, fresh volunteer assistance would be very welcome, and we hope that willing residents can come forward and be part of the future of the Hall.
Our AGM is coming up soon, on May 12th at 7 pm in Pelham Hall and is open to all (see below for the agenda). The AGM is an excellent opportunity to see how the Hall works, to express interest and voice ideas about what could be done better. Pelham Hall exists because of community support without which the Hall will close, denying the village an outstanding building, community resource and sports club venue. Just 2 hours a month will make a difference.
