"Looking at how Turner made his small quick watercolours we will use photos of Venice at sunset to capture light and colour. Making a series of quick small paintings."
- Watercolour Box, Palette, Tubes, Pans, Brushes and whatever you have
- Between 6 and 12 pieces of watercolour paper roughly 6x8 inches in size although we can cut larger paper to size on the day
- 1 primed canvas A3 or similar size
- Water container
Please wet your colours the evening before especially if they are dry pans

People familiar with Alex's work will know he is known for his love of colour and natural observation, whether it is a landscape, still life, figurative or abstract painting.
Alex studied fine art, painting at Camberwell school of art in the 1980s and has been a professional exhibiting artist and teacher since.
He has worked in private collections in the UK and abroad, as well as public collections in the UK including the London Transport Museum, Art for Hospitals and a recent acquisition by the John Moores University for their Thomas Aquinas building.
