Portraiture Workshop – Pelham Hall (Bar Area)
Artist: Mr. Alex Brown
Saturday, 24th March 2018
10am - 4pm
£35 per person
Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and Coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Alex will work from a photograph and provide a copy of that photograph for each person at the workshop. He will begin with a talk about how to make a simplified structured approach, to the drawing of the photograph, on a canvas. He will then deliver a short demonstration of how to make the drawing on the canvas with charcoal, so it can be fixed afterwards. This will be followed with a discussion on how to prepare the palette and colours.
After lunch, Alex will begin with a short chat and demonstration of how to proceed with the painting.
He will give one to one tuition throughout the day to everyone on their work.
Please contact Paula Brady at firstname.lastname@example.org to register a place on this workshop.
Each person will need to bring:
Easel or table easel
A Palette (Alex suggests a tear off palette)
