My work is generally figurative, exploring the atmosphere and qualities of ordinary life and the local landscape. I have worked in charcoal, acrylic and linocut.
While continuing to make relief prints which generally have a narrative content, I have more recently become interested in working with a knife and paint.
I have been painting and drawing as long as I can remember, taking evening classes and short courses in life-drawing and painting in London, Bristol, and, most significantly, in the Forest of Dean, where I have lived for over twenty years. I have also completed HE modules in Drawing and Watercolour with the Open College of the Arts.
My teachers have been tremendously important to me.
