Drinks reception – free entry. The launch event for the festival where people have the opportunity to be the first to view the exhibition and meet the artists and others interested in the arts.

Exhibition in Capel Pentwyn
September 1-3, 10am - 4pm. Entry £2.50 (U16 free)

The Arts & Crafts period Capel Pentwyn is transformed into a gallery for the latest work by leading artists and makers from the area, many with international credentials. There will be outdoor sculpture as well.

Artists’ & makers’ demonstrations and artists’ stalls
September 2-3, 10.00am - 4pm

Throughout the weekend there will be a series of high-quality, sometimes interactive, demonstrations by leading artists and makers in two large marquees and various gazebos in the beautiful Babington Meadow.

September 2 and 3, 11.00am – 12.00pm – booking advised (no charge)

Mary Cousins and Jane Blair will be making clay bird seed holders, which will be used as a permanent feature to enhance the birdlife on Babington Meadow.

Art workshop in Pelham Hall Saturday, September 2, 9.30am - 1.30pm.

Due to the great success of this art workshop as part of Art in Penallt in 2016, we are delighted to welcome back our renowned local Monmouth artist, Richard Wills, to deliver the art workshop this year.

The workshop, which will be in Portraiture, will take place at Pelham Hall, Penallt from 9.30am until 1.30pm on Saturday, 2nd September 2017. Students are requested to bring their own materials in the medium of their preferred choice.

The cost is £25.00 per person and refreshments will be provided for you.

There will be on-site refreshments available all day on Saturday and Sunday. There is wheelchair access to all parts of the event. There will be basic WC facilities on site and volunteers to help with special needs, enquiries and emergencies.
