Exhibition Preview in Capel Pentwyn

Drinks reception – free entry. The launch event for the festival where people have the opportunity to be the first to view the exhibition and meet the artists and others interested in the arts.

Exhibition in Capel Pentwyn
September 23-25, 10am-4pm

The Arts & Crafts period Capel Pentwyn is transformed into a gallery for the latest work by leading artists and makers from the area, many with international credentials. There will be outdoor sculpture as well.

Peg-it-Up Exhibition of students’ work
Friday, September 23, 6pm-8pm

Students from Monmouth’s schools exhibit their latest and best original work in a Peg-it-Up environment. Works are for sale with proceeds being split between the artists and the Bridges Community Centre in Monmouth. Held at Babington Meadow. More details here.

Artists’ & makers’ demonstrations and Made in Monmouthshire artists’ stalls
September 24-25, 10.30am-4pm

Throughout the weekend there will be a series of high-quality, sometimes interactive, demonstrations by leading artists and makers in two large marquees in the beautiful Babington Meadow.

Course at Humble by Nature
Friday and Saturday September 23/24, 10am-4pm – booking essential.

Weave a Willow heart – Friday 23rd Sept. 10am –1pm £35/head.
Lino Printing Landscapes – Saturday 24th Sept. 10am – 4pm £75/head.

Kate Humble’s visitor centre in the village is host to a range of courses in environmental management and, as part of this festival, the arts as well. For more information, email info@humblebynature.com or call 01600 714 595. The centre is situated at NP25 4RP.

Art workshop in Pelham Hall Sunday, September 25, 1pm to 4pm.

This Art Workshop will be with our renowned local Monmouth artist, Richard Wills, and will follow on from Richard’s demonstration at Babington Meadow between 11.00am and 12.00 noon. Richard has suggested it would be useful for everyone to attend this demonstration also in preparation for the workshop which will be in Portraiture.

There will be on-site refreshments available all day on Saturday and Sunday. There is wheelchair access to all parts of the event. There will be basic WC facilities on site and volunteers to help with special needs, enquiries and emergencies.
