Angling

Angling Penallt.jpg

Penallt enjoys an extensive river frontage on The Wye and angling is one of the popular activities which take place there.

Although there is no angling club in the Parish, many Penallters are members of the Redbrook Angling Club, based just across the river in Redbrook.

Redbrook Angling Club has been in existence since 2004, when it was very kindly granted a lease for the fishing rights on parts of the River Wye in Redbrook and Penallt by a local landowner. The club is run by a committee of local anglers, who wished to take advantage of some of the UK's premier game and coarse fishing on their door step by forming a contused non profit angling club.

The club is open to anglers who are residents, ex residents, employees, ex employees of business or business that work or have worked in the Redbrook, Clearwell, Newland and Penallt areas.

Further details can be found on the Redbrook Village Hall website.
